OTE
The Organization for Timeshare in Europe (OTE) is the official trade
association representing companies and individuals with legitimate interests in
the industry in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.
The Organization for Timeshare in Europe was created in February 1998 following
the decision taken by Members of the ETF (European Timeshare Federation) to
integrate all the national timeshare trade associations into one organization:
OTE. Unlike the "old" ETF, which was an association made up of 15 associations;
OTE is a direct membership organization with members from all sectors of the
industry across Europe.
It aims to promote, develop and represent the timeshare industry so that
legitimate commercial and consumer interests can be satisfied. OTE members are
committed to the highest standards and ethics for the benefit of all those
involved in the timeshare industry, the purchasers and potential buyers of
timeshare interests. It also offers a free conciliation service for member's
related queries and general advice about timeshare.
OTE works with governments at European and national level to create fair
legislation that safeguards the interests of the consumer and encourages the
positive development of the industry.
